Soom was founded in 1992 by Dick Toering and Henri Alles, who met in Klegg/Dramm. They wanted to play pop songs as opposed to the more abstract music of Klegg and Klegg/Dramm.

Soom ceased to exist in 1997, there were just too many musical discussions. Besides that, the band wanted to reach a bigger audience than possible at that time. Of course, through the internet there is a big audience for this unusual music. Just listen without prejudice (thanks, George Michael) !
